Frankly, I don’t know why we went here. If I remember correctly, it was because Lia wanted to go to France. Or she wanted to be able to say she had been to France, because kids also boast to each other, and her best friend happens to be French.
So off to France we went, even if it was just Briançon, because it is an hour’s drive from Bardonecchia. We passed by skiing resorts and towns with die-hard skiers still racing after the very last remnants of winter snow. (Just like Lia, though of course she didn’t want to ski.)
We arrived at Briançon and promptly headed for lunch. This cafe was open and had a good view of the mountains, the bell towers, and the town itself.
After lunch, we went for a little walk to as far as our freezing feet could take us.
Lia was cold and wanted to be carried. Nobody wanted to carry her. Thus, this face.
Also because she is 6 and weighs exactly half of me.
And we enter the picturesque narrow little streets of Briançon.
Let me just share that I am very poor with camera maintenance. The last time I had my camera body and lenses cleaned was probably 5 years ago and I am not very good with caring for these things either. So my apologies for my camera was extremely dirty on these traveling days.
So, obviously, we didn’t make it that far. We were freezing so we headed back to the car. And I did a quick shot of the town before getting back into the car.
