Lia was borrowed by her grandparents during the weekend and I was missing her so much that I went back to the photos taken at Stonehouse Gardens Resort while we were in Bicol last month. This is really, I could say, Part 2 of Lia and her Mama at Stonehouse Gardens.
Yes, Lia and I both have brown hair. Though I had hoped my daughter would also inherit my brown eyes, hers are black. The brown hair, brown eyes, and freckles (that for years I have tried to get rid of by having chemical peels, to no avail of course) are all due to the Spanish blood that my mother, most especially, have imparted to me. Most Bicolanos have Spanish ancestry, though mine is only, perhaps 1/64th, or something maybe less.
I have a scar on my chin.
Right after we arrived, Lia had asked for “lipsticks” to be put on her. I only had lip gloss and that was best for the two of us.
Lia had been giving me flowers the entire time, but at one point, she came up to me and said, “Look ma, my fingertip is wet. Its a raindrop.” (Photograph here.) After I indulged her with this, I asked for the camera and took photos of her as she was talking to me.
I love this photo…
And this is my water baby….
